Wanted: Name For Adorable 8-Week-Old Service Dog

Here is an event dog lovers can sink their teeth into. The Collier County Sheriff's Office in Naples, Fla., is holding a name-the-dog contest.

The law enforcement agency has invited the public to help name an 8-week-old golden retriever. According to the sheriff's office, the service-dog-in-training is a top dog, who is confident, affectionate and feisty.

"Her brothers probably would agree she's bossy," a spokesperson for the agency said.

And, she seems to have it all: "good looks, a winning personality and a permanent job assisting a wounded veteran when she finishes school," the spokesperson added.

The dog-eat-dog contest is live and anyone interested in helping collar the young pups name can do so by submitting one or voting on an existing name by visiting CCSO's Facebook page.

Vote or submit your entry in the comment section underneath the puppies photograph. If you want to vote for an entry that someone else has submitted, just click "Like" next to that name. The winning name will be the one that garners the most "likes." The person who submits the winning name will receive a free CCSO T-shirt.

The deadline for contest entries is July 24. The winner will be announced shortly thereafter.
