DSK Aphrodisiac Drink Released By French Entrepreneurs

DSK Aphrodisiac Drink: Beverage Entrepreneurs Take A Shot At Strauss-Kahn

Though it's doubtful he'll need any help, there's a new sexual enhancement product on the market named after Dominique Strauss-Kahn.

French entrepreneurs Stéphane Briault and Patrice Guillard claim their new soft drink creation, DSK, acts as an aphrodisiac, according to Business Insider.

While many will consider the tongue-in-cheek name humorous, the ex-IMF chief, who has been beleaguered by sex scandals from sexual assault allegations to reported involvement in a French prostitution ring, will probably find it no laughing matter. On the other hand, he may be used to it -- this saffron kiwi drink is only the latest product to bear the initials of a man who was once considered a favorite for the French presidency. Expatica France reports that France's National Industrial Property Institute has registered 22 different companies as carrying the DSK acronym.

"We asked ourselves if that [name] wasn't too brazen," Briault said to Expatica. "But people will remember it more easily."

The entrepreneurs say besides being an aphrodisiac, the ingredients in their drink have been known to stimulate respiratory function, act as an antidepressant, work as an antioxidant and even alleviate the effects of an alcohol-induced hangover. Ten thousand bottles of the drink will be distributed in the coming days to be sold for 16 euros -- equivalent to just under $20 -- according to Radio France Internationale.

Whatever the costs or the benefits, DSK should probably stay away from buying a six pack of this stuff.
