Kate Middleton Added To Title Of Prince William and Prince Harry Foundation

Prince William Adds Kate To Foundation's Title

Kate Middleton has another royal induction to celebrate.

To officially acknowledge her role in the regal family's charitable efforts, Prince William and Prince Harry added the Duchess’ name to their foundation, the Daily Mail reports.

What was formerly known as the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry will be here on out referred to as The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.

Together, this royal trio has already helped secure $1.9 million in donations to organizations aimed at aiding military veterans, disadvantaged children, and wildlife, according to the The Telegraph.

Since Middleton and Prince William married, the organization has seen nearly a 10-fold increase in donations, The Telegraph reports. The greatest gain poured in when the world obeyed the couple's wedding wish to receive charitable donations instead of gifts. The foundation earned in excess of $1.5 million after their nuptials.

Those closely involved with the foundation say they see the name-change as way more than just semantics.

Lord Janvrin, the foundation’s chairman of trustees, told the publication that the fellow trustees were "delighted" by Middleton's addition to the cause, and that it will surely guide them toward a "busy and memorable" year.
