Dave Rubin Talks 'Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day' With Bill O'Reilly (VIDEO)

WATCH: 'The Six Pack' Co-Host Talks Chick-Fil-A With Bill O'Reilly

"The Six Pack" co-host Dave Rubin appeared on "The O'Reilly Factor" last night to discuss the ongoing controversy surrounding Chick-fil-A after the restaurant chain's president confirmed his company's anti-gay stance. Here's what Rubin, who's also a Huffington Post blogger, had to say about the experience:

I made my first appearance on "The O'Reilly Factor" last night to discuss, but of course, fried chicken. (Most comics aspire to be on "Leno" or "Letterman," but for me it's all about fried food cable news battles.)

As you'll see in the clip above, I tried to have a civil, honest conversation and get a couple funny lines in there as well. (I mean we're wrapping an argument about gay rights into a fried chicken sandwich segment, there's something both very funny and very American about that.)

Somehow the conversation managed to not only touch upon Chick-fil-A owner Dan Cathy, but also Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Mao Tse Tong and Joseph Stalin -- though at least there were no over-the-top comparisons!

It never even came up that I'm gay, nor do I think it even mattered. What this battle is about is the state of gay Americans in 2012, simple as that. Are we equal or are we not? Do we believe we deserve the same rights as everyone else or do we not? Will we fight back when people act out against us or will we sit quietly?

Oh, and will we eat chicken fried in prejudice or perhaps just get a salad elsewhere with dressing on the side.

Come to think of it, If I'd said that, then they would've known I was gay for sure.
