Watch This Couple's Living Room Get An Unbelievable Design Makeover (VIDEO)

Watch As This Couple's Two Distinct Styles Merge Into One Amazing Space

When two people have different styles, converging them can be quite the challenge. Leave it to talented designer David Bromstad from HGTV's Color Splash to pull it off without a hitch.

The homeowner couldn't agree. She likes energizing tones such as red and orange and is into contemporary design, where he prefers soothing colors such as greens and blues and loves a rustic look. The result of these two styles merged beautifully? "ContempoRustic."

Post makeover, the living room features just enough of both color palettes and styles without going overboard in either direction. It is filled with soothing earth tones, but also has bright pops of red, orange, green and blue throughout. Even the coffee table pulls off both of the homeowners' wants: It's made of rustic-looking wood but features sleek lines that give it a contemporary feel.

Our favorite part of this makeover? Well, if we had to choose just one we'd say the absolutely gorgeous fireplace. It's made from reclaimed wood pallets running all the way up the wall with stand-out floating shelves. It is definitely the focal point of the room, but doesn't draw away from the rest of its beauty. One thing's for sure: We wouldn't mind kicking back and relaxing in this space!
