MTV made two important "Jersey Shore"-related announcements Friday at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour: "Jersey Shore" Season 6, long-rumored to be the reality show's last tango in Seaside, will premiere on Thurs., Oct. 4 at 10 p.m. ET, and "Snooki & JWoww" has officially been renewed for a second season.
"Jersey Shore" wrapped filming in early July. The season will reportedly feature Deena Cortese getting arrested for drunkenly dancing in the streets and visits from a pregnant Snooki, who will not be living in the house.
The news of the "Snooki & JWoww" renewal became evident last week when Patch reported the show had requested permission to film in Morristown, NJ. Those negotiations fell through Thursday, leading to speculation that the town said, "No thanks" to the rambunctious reality stars.
Based on the timeline of the request, it seems likely that the spinoff's second season will cover the late stages of Snooki's pregnancy and run through her delivery date. She is currently seven months pregnant, and the show requested permission to film until mid-October. Snooki and her fiance Jionni LaValle plan to name their son Lorenzo.
