DIY Idea: This Vintage Marquee Sign Will Make Your Movie Night A Hit

Whether it's just a few family members or a bunch of friends coming over to watch the newest horror flick or a classic, it's fun to gather everyone on the sofa to watch a film. And this also gives us an excuse to prep our places to look pretty for guests. So, when we saw this DIY idea, a light-up movie marquee from Oh Happy Day, we were super excited at the thought of crafting this before our next "showing."

The talented crafter who made this sign placed hers outside her home pointing guests in the right direction of the festivities, but we think it would look cute inside as well (as long as you've got the space). This project takes a little bit of time, but it's not too tough if you have the instructions and the right materials: 1/8″ foamcore, a precision knife and box cutter, some poster board, scotch tape, packing tape, a ruler, a string of lights, spray paint and the free printable template. It's definitely do-able, and we plan on giving it a shot before our next movie night so that it's a hit! For a full tutorial, head over to Oh Happy Day.
