WATCH: Incredible 'Fruit Ninja' Slices Produce With Playing Cards

Why bother with a knife when you can slice vegetables with playing cards? Granted, you'll need some serious throwing power, but Ye Tongxin, a 48-year-old man from Nanjing, China is pretty much a "real life fruit ninja."

In the video below, he flicks playing cards with such speed and force that he can slice through cucumbers, apples and watermelons. This isn't just an overnight trick though -- he trains for hours every day, when not at his day job of managing school buses. He is trying to set a Guinness World Record for slicing vegetables with playing cards; he's been working on this for 10 years.

His card flicks have such power that in the video below, it is difficult to pull the cards out of an apple because the cut is so deep.
