Lakeshia Richmond Attacked Kids' Coach, Tony Massey, Because He Molested Them, She Claims

Mom Claims Coach Molested Her Kids, Attacks Him With Bat

A Tennessee mom is sorry for beating her children's coach with a baseball bat on Saturday.

What she's not sorry for is her claim that he molested her kids.

Lakeshia Richmond, of Memphis, spent a few days in jail for attacking Tony Massey, whom she claims touched her 8- and 9-year-old sons inappropriately, according to WREG-TV.

"I didn’t intend to do whatever I did to him," Richmond told the station. "I apologize, but I don’t apologize for what happened to my kids."

Richmond claims that one of her sons came to her after Massey touched him on at least one occasion.

"I asked them 'Did he touch you bad, did he touch you down there?' and my little boy said 'yes,'" she claimed, "and I said 'was it just you?' and he said 'no, it was some more kids.'"

She said she became enraged when she saw Massey walking down the street on Saturday, and went to the back of her car for the bat. Cops said they found Massey "shirtless and bleeding from the face," WMCT reports.

"During the beating he was saying he didn’t do it and that he was sorry," Richmond said. "If you didn’t do it then why are you saying you’re sorry? What are you sorry for?"

The coach was in critical condition on Saturday and upgraded to serious condition on Monday. Richmond faces an aggravated assault charge, while police say they're investigating her allegations against Massey.
