Recently divorced British comedian Russell Brand is reportedly doing just that, with none other than the Spice Girls' Geri Halliwell.
The Sun reports that Brand fell for Halliwell at the Olympic closing ceremony rehearsals, and broke things off with Isabella Brewster earlier this month so he could start dating Ginger Spice.
A source told the U.K. paper that though they've only been seeing each other a brief time, it's a "very serious" romance.
"Things are getting very serious between them — they’re a proper couple now. They had met several times in the past, but really got to know each other during the Olympics ... They just clicked -- they have so much in common," explained the insider.
The paper reports that the couple were photographed spending time in London and took a tour of Hampton Court Palace with Halliwell's 6-year-old daughter Bluebell Madonna, this past weekend.
A tourist named Greg Oram was visiting the historic site and spotted the new couple.
“They seemed like they were having a really great time, holding hands and chatting — it was 100 per cent obvious they were a couple. Geri was holding his hand the same way I hold my wife’s. It was so cute," he told the paper.
The relationship must be moving very quickly since Halliwell alluded to the relationship to Hello! magazine on Aug. 20, and the Olympic Closing Ceremony rehearsal took place on Aug. 9.
"I'm not going into details. Right now there's nothing serious. I was a late starter on the romantic front. I didn't start dating until I was in my 30s . . . I quite like having somebody to cuddle. I like that intimacy, it would be wonderful," she told the magazine.
Halliwell, 40, broke things off with Henry Beckwith, after dating for two years. According to The Sun the relationship soured when she grew tired of his hard-partying ways.
Brand, 37, finalized his divorce from pop star Katy Perry in July, but had been linked to several women since he filed for divorce in December 2011. In February he was linked to artist and model Oriela Medellin, whom he reportedly met at a yoga class, and in March he was rumored to be dating model Nikolett Barabas. It was just last month that Brand began dating Brewster, a former CAA talent agent, but it seems that was not meant to be.
