'Modern Family' Star Sofia Vergara Speaks Out About The Challenges Of Playing Pregnant (VIDEO)

Sofia Vergara Isn't A Fan Of Playing Pregnant

Fans may be excited to see Gloria (Sofia Vergara) with a baby bump on "Modern Family" next season, but the actress who plays her isn't so thrilled about the new look.

While visiting "Good Afternoon America" (Weekdays, 2 p.m. ET on ABC) on Tuesday, Vergara shared her dislike for the prosthetic baby bumps, admitting that she'd tried three different sizes already -- five, seven and nine months -- and isn't a fan of any of them. "It's horrible, it's like a sticky plastic thing -- it's not sexy at all," the actress lamented.

Photos of Vergara and her fake bump surfaced earlier this month, and the actress admitted on "GAA" that being pregnant isn't going to affect Gloria's revealing wardrobe choices much. "It's fun to dress Gloria with her same outfits now pregnant," she laughed.

Season 4 of "Modern Family" got off to a rocky start when the show's adult stars, including Vergara, Ed O'Neill, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, became involved in a contract dispute with 20th Century Fox over their salaries, which delayed the start of production. The dispute was quickly resolved and filming began soon after.

"Modern Family" returns to ABC on Wednesday, September 26 at 9 p.m. ET.
