Rihanna's Reality Show, 'Styled To Rock,' Receives Low Ratings

Rough Ratings For Rihanna's Fashion TV Show

Despite receiving award-winning success in the music industry, Rihanna is learning on the ropes in how to convert platinum records into international television ratings.

Earlier this month the pop star premiered her debut U.K. reality competition show, "Styled To Rock," which follows budding designers over the course of 10 weeks as they aim to create an outfit for Rihanna to wear during one of her performances.

After airing on the Sky Living Channel for three episodes it appears that the "Project Runway"-esque show has had a rough start. According to The Sun, the show is lacking from the network's average viewing audience of 153,000 viewers, by debuting at 95,000, followed by 79,000 for the second episode, and bumping up to 110,000 viewers for the third episode.

While the "Birthday Cake" songstress, who also serves as executive producer, is busy promoting the series to her 25 million Twitter followers, the network's director, Stuart Murphy, has no qualms about the show's bumpy start.

"It was trending on Twitter and Rihanna is the biggest star in the world," Murphy reportedly said last week during the Edinburgh TV Festival. "Find me a channel controller who would turn down Rihanna in her own series."

Aside from her reality show, Rihanna is also scheduled to perform at this year's MTV Video Music Awards airing live from Los Angeles on September 6, at 8PM.
