The Most Popular New Gay Phrase (That's Actually Really Old)

Summer 2012 fostered two phrases that swept across New York like a gaggle of giggling girls in town for some cheerleader competition no one's heard of. One is the oft-lipdubbed "Call Me Maybe." The other is the Ana Matronic-inspired accidental hit "Let's Have a Kiki."

The catchiness of the track is undeniable, and despite the fact that at the time it hadn't been released as a single, the song got its proverbial grooves worn off by practically every queen this side of the Hudson River.
