'Call Me Maybe,' Geordie Cover: The Carly Rae Jepsen Hit Gets The British Treatment

WATCH: Funniest 'Call Me Maybe' Cover Yet?

Every time we think we've seen every possible iteration of "Call Me Maybe," (Harvard baseball boys, U.S. soldiers, Olympic swimmers...), a new cover comes along and makes us appreciate -- or at least feel obligated to listen to -- Carly Rae Jepsen's hit song all over again. This time we're being charmed by two women from across the Atlantic who have given "Call Me Maybe" the British treatment.

May Arcade, a musical duo from Newcastle, England made up of singer-songwriters Sophie and Leanne, turned "Call Me Maybe" into "Call Me Da'lin." They took the pop song's lyrics and tweaked them to fit a British dialect called Geordie, found in the Tyneside region. The results are pretty hilarious.

Some sample lyrics:
Swapped me soul for a wish/
Coppers and quids for a kiss/
A wasn't lookin for this/
But now y'in me way

How can you resist a dialect that turns "Here's my number, so call me maybe?" into "Here's me number, so giz a ring will y'pet?"
