'X-Men' Gay Wedding Re-Created By Couple At Marvel Universe Gathering

'X-Men' Gay Wedding Re-Created In Real Life

One same-sex couple took their love of "Astonishing X-Men" comics to an entire new level by re-creating the now-iconic gay wedding between Northstar and Kyle Jindau.

Our friends at Comics Alliance report that the men, who have been together for 20 years, staged the event at the Marvel Universe cosplayer gathering at last weekend's Dragon*Con in Atlanta.

As the Associated Press reported in June, Northstar ( a.k.a. Jean-Paul Beaubier) became one of Marvel Entertainment's first characters to reveal he was gay in the pages of "Alpha Flight" No. 106 in 1992.
