'Lincoln' Trailer: Daniel Day-Lewis Plays Honest Abe For Steven Spielberg (VIDEO)

WATCH: First Trailer For 'Lincoln' Arrives

It was not four score and seven years ago that audiences received their first glimpse of Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln": On Monday, Disney released a teaser trailer for the "Lincoln" trailer, featuring a brief look at Daniel Day-Lewis in the title role.

Now, during a Google+ Hangout for the film, Spielberg and co-star Joseph Gordon-Levitt (playing Lincoln's son, Robert) have unveiled the full trailer for the film many Oscar prognosticators are thinking could go all the way at the 85th annual Academy Awards.

Like the teaser trailer, the full clip features Lincoln's famed Gettysburg Address being read by someone other than Lincoln (actor David Oyelowo does the honors). The trailer is epic in scale, which shouldn't be unexpected coming from Spielberg. Final words: "Shall we stop this bleeding?"

"It's not just patriotism and icon worship," Gordon-Levitt told Moviefone about the film. "It really examines him as a human being and all of his imperfections and both his virtues and his flaws. It is a fascinating script. I can't wait to see it. It is such a brave take. Steven Spielberg, he's the biggest filmmaker in the world. There would be a lot pressure on him to make a more watered-down version of the story and I think it's so brave of him to have really done something provocative and interesting."

Written by Tony Kushner, "Lincoln" also stars Tommy Lee Jones, Sally Field, John Hawkes, Jared Harris, Adam Driver, Jackie Earle Haley, Lee Pace, James Spader, Walton Goggins, Michael Stuhlbarg and David Strathairn. Watch the full trailer above.

"Lincoln" is out in limited release on Nov. 9, before expanding wide on Nov. 16.
