Fire Breaks Out In Rustic Canyon

A fire broke out around 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Rustic Canyon in Pacific Palisades and spread to approximately 30 acres, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

At least 200 firefighters and multiple aircraft battled the blaze, which was reported to be 75 percent contained at 10:35 p.m., with the LAFD saying that there were no more active flames, only smoldering fire. An evening drop in temperature and an increase in humidity was also expected to help firefighters extinguish the blaze.
