'Breaking Amish': Sabrina And Rebecca Marvel Over Lights, Phone In Their Hotel Room (VIDEO)

'Breaking Amish': Loving Modern Hotel Conveniences

Perhaps one of the more intriguing aspects of "Breaking Amish" is watching them interact with the mordern world for the first time. After finally making it to New York City, Rebecca and Sabrina had an absolute blast exploring their hotel room. Whereas most people would take everything in there for granted, Rebecca was mesmerized by the light switches -- and that was just the beginning.

"So I’ve never lived with electricity before," she said, explaining why she was turning on and off the lights. The girls then marveled that they had a telephone in their room.

"Is that in case you run out of toilet paper," Sabrina wondered. "You can call down to room service? ‘Hey, I’m on the potty. I need toilet paper.’”

The girls were loving all the new experiences they were sharing together, and it looks like viewers are loving the show. The network touted that "Breaking Amish" was their highest-rated series premiere in nearly two years, performing even better among women in the key demos.

Follow along as they experience more firsts on "Breaking Amish" every Sunday at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
