'Army Wives' Renewed: Lifetime Orders Season 7

'Army Wives' Gets Another Season

Lifetime has renewed "Army Wives" for a 13-episode Season 7, the network announced Friday.

"Army Wives is a very special program. It’s rare to find a series that connects with viewers and resonates so powerfully after six straight seasons, and we couldn’t be prouder to have it return to Lifetime next year," Rob Sharenow, executive vice president of programming at Lifetime Networks said in a statement.

According to Deadline.com, Kim Delaney will likely not return for Season 7. So far there is no word on which other cast members will or will not return after the Season 6 cliffhanger.

"Army Wives" averaged 3.2 million viewers during Season 6, which ended on September 9. The season starred Delaney, Sally Pressman, Brian McNamara, Sterling K. Brown, Wendy Davis, Drew Fuller, Terry Serpico, Kelli Williams and Catherine Bell. Guest stars included Kellie Martin, Alyssa Diaz and JJ Soria.

The show will return sometime in 2013, though no specific premiere date was announced.
