Ann Romney To Co-Host 'Good Morning America'

Ann Romney To Guest Host 'Good Morning America'

Ann Romney will guest host "Good Morning America," filling in for Robin Roberts, on October 10, The Hollywood Reporter reported exclusively on Thursday.

The show is also in talks to get Michelle Obama to co-host, according to the publication.

"Good Morning America" has had a roster of substitute hosts — including Oprah and Stephen Colbert — since Robin Roberts went on medical leave. Roberts is undergoing treatment for MDS, a rare blood and bone marrow disorder, and recently received a bone marrow transplant. She said that both First Lady Obama and Romney reached out to her shortly after her diagnosis.

Both campaigns have been stepping up their daytime media appearances in recent weeks: President Obama and Michelle appeared on "The View" in September, while the Romneys sat down with Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan on "Live!"

Romney's campaign has also said that the candidate will visit "The View" in October. That was announced in the aftermath of Romney's leaked 47% remarks, when he also said that doing "The View" was "high risk" because four of the hosts are "sharp-tongued and not conservative."
