Race Car Crashes Into French Vineyard During Rallye De Drance (VIDEO)

WATCH: Race Car Crashes Into Vineyard

We feel terrible for Daniel Wolfer, owner of the Alsace vineyard in the below video filmed during the Rallye de France.

A rally car, driven by Norwegian Petter Solberg and his co-driver, spun out of control during a portion of the race, sending it hurtling through several banks of Wolfer's grape vines. To his credit, Wolfer was a good sport about it when speaking with Decanter:

"He took a tour of my vineyards," he said. "Of course, we will have to repair the damage, but there is always work for us to do and it was not too bad."

Regardless, Wolfer is optimistic about his 2012 harvest and says the grapes -- at least the ones that weren't run over -- are showing "good character."

Watch footage of the crash below, or take a look at another video shot by the U.K.'s Motors TV, which features some shocked footage of the drivers themselves inside their car.
