TLC's obsession with traveler culture continues as they launched another series exploring their world. "Little Shop of Gypsies" focuses on Thelma Madine, a dress designer. One of the most memorable things about "My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding" are those wild dresses the women wear. So why not shine a brighter spotlight on a woman who creates those fashions.
In this premiere episode, Thelma was looking to hire someone to help her out at the shop. One of the potential employees offered up an incredibly memorable quote.
After finding an outfit that reminded her of Lady Gaga, she said, "I know for a genuine fact, Lady Gaga, she’s definitely a devil worshipper. And Rihanna, during ‘Under My Umbrella,’ wind that backwards -- she’s talking tongues to the devil."
Now those are a couple of "genuine facts," so there's no need to look them up or try to verify them in any way, though viewers on Twitter were cracking up at her words of "wisdom."
The new series "Little Shop of Gypsies" continues on Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
