Usher's 'Numb' Video: Pop Star Dances Away The Pain In New Video

Usher Tackles His Past And A Glass Wall In His 'Numb' Video

Usher has proven his dedication to dance and documenting his past in the new video for "Numb," the third single from Usher's album "Looking 4 Myself."

Usher begins the video with scenes from a 2011 show at the O2 Arena in Berlin, which the singer was forced to end early due to illness. The clip then moves between quick edits of a stormy sky and and Usher clutching a mic stand during the same Berlin performance; a spoken track from the singer increases the drama of the moment.

As the music begins, the video quickly moves into a montage of scenes, including Usher at a hospital bedside, cooking with two little boys (wonder who they are supposed to be) and working out -- it looks like crunches and jumping rope might be his secret exercise weapons.

And, yes, there is dancing too. Usher performs some intricate choreography inside a small glass box that he eventually breaks out of -- most likely the result of the intense heat he created while dancing in such a tight space.

The video ends with a piercing gaze from the singer who has no hint of pain from his lively, glass destroying finale.

Usher will kick off his European tour in early 2013. As reported by Billboard, he moved several dates back to free up more time to spend with his sons, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond.

'Looking 4 Myself" was Usher's fourth number one album on the Billboard 200 Chart.
