Olympian To Get Free Chipotle Burritos For Life?

First, she won gold at the London Olympics as part of the U.S. women's national team. Now, soccer player Abby Wambach has reportedly scored again, but this time, her gold gets her a lifetime of free burritos.

Wambach tweeted that chain restaurant Chipotle Mexican Grill has offered her its gold card -- a gift that Wambach claims will get her free burritos for life. The two-time Olympic medalist announced her alleged good fortune on Twitter Sunday:

There is not much information on the mythical Chipotle gold card, but the restaurant known for its bursting burritos is committed to integrity. The Huffington Post reached out to Chipotle for comment but did not receive an immediate response.

Chipotle adheres to serving dishes made with the best, sustainably raised food. That means all its items include ingredients raised with respect for the animals, the environment and the farmers, according to the Chipotle official website.

Wambach has spoken about the importance of nutrition in the past.

"There are more times during the off-season when I'll indulge in things I won't eat when I'm in [training], but the truth of the matter is it's a lifestyle choice," the athlete told HuffPost Healthy Living back in July.

"At the most elite level, your nutrition becomes a lifestyle, it's not something you have to do when you're preparing for Olympic games or World Cup games, you just do it. You're more inclined to eat healthier because it's better for your muscles," she added.
