Donald Trump Tweets About Derek Jeter Injury

Trump On Jeter Injury: 'Karma?'

The injury to Derek Jeter has left Yankees fans looking for answers. Can the team win the World Series without the Captain? Will A-Rod or Robinson Cano be able to pick up the slack? What if Raul Ibanez hadn't hit that game-tying homer in the ninth?

Amidst the doubts and lamentations, Donald Trump suggested a possible cause for Jeter's ankle fracture: Karma.

A few days after Jeter fractured his ankle in the 12th inning of the ALCS opener against Detroit, Trump tweeted that the five-time Gold Glove winner had great career until he sold his Trump Tower apartment. The penthouse reportedly sold for $15.5 million, via the New York Post.

Shortly after that tweet, Trump turned his attention back to Alex Rodriguez, who he said should be dropped in the lineup prior to Game 3 of the ALDS against Baltimore.

After Trump's initial tweet about Jeter's injury drew some negative replies from Yankees fans, Trump felt the need to declare his love for the longtime Yankees shortstop.

If the Yankees bring back October hero Raul Ibanez for another season then perhaps he'll find himself some Trump-sanctioned digs and get the team's karma realigned.
