Jane Fonda got a taste of TV with "The Newsroom" and it seems she liked it. The veteran actress will star in a new ABC comedy pilot titled "Now What?"

According to Variety, the single-camera comedy follows a young woman who criticizes her mother in a blog post titled "Dear Mom, Here's Why I Hate You ..." Fonda's character, the mom, moves in with her daughter and refuses to leave until they sort out their problems. "Pushing Daisies" writer Abby Gewanter wrote the script. Mike Tollin and Ben Spector are executive producing the comedy.

This is Fonda's first regular TV gig. Aside from "The Newsroom," Fonda's other TV credits include a few TV movies. Her recurring gig on "The Newsroom" was her first role on series TV.

"Well, I'm a 'recurring guest star.' That's what they call it," Fonda told The Huffington Post about "The Newsroom" in June. "I only learned that the other day. I didn't know how to describe what I do because I've never done a series like this before."
