Chris Phipps, San Francisco Cyclist, Bikes Route Shaped Like Giants Logo

Bike The SF Giants Logo Ride!

An avid Giants fan chose a unique route to show off his team pride -- one shaped like the San Francisco logo.

Amateur cyclist Chris Phipps completed the 60-mile ride in about six hours back in September, according to his Twitter, tracking his route with the help of a GPS and Strava, an online social fitness network. On Tuesday, he followed up his logo ride with a #RallyZito route to cheer for his team in Game Seven of the NLCS. The Giants defeated the Cardinals 9-0 to earn their second trip to the World Series in three years.

Phipps is a member of USA Cycling and competes with the Iron Data Thirstybear team, based in the Bay Area. He plans to repeat the logo route this Saturday, inviting the Twitterverse to join the ride.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story indicated that Phipps used Google Maps to trace his route. He actually used the social fitness network, Strava.
