A Halloween rave at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, billed "The Haunted Coliseum," was shut down Saturday after things took a turn for the chaotic.

Michael Croissant, a 44-year-old man from Monticello, was arrested after landing a helicopter on a grassy area near the Coliseum, where there were reportedly at least 20 people. Croissant initially tried to land the helicopter in the area but stopped because of pedestrians, before going ahead and landing it anyways.

He has been charged with first-degree reckless endangerment and authorities have seized his helicopter.

Police were already on the scene because of a separate incident at the rave. Up to 100 teenagers were reportedly intoxicated to the point of needing medical attention. Police reportedly took teens between the ages of 14 and 18 to local hospitals.

The Haunted Coliseum event, which had lined up dance music performances from Sebastian Ingrosso, Alesso, and Otto Knows, was ended by authorities after about an hour.
