Colbert Mocks Romney's Hurricane Sandy Rally, Christie's Newfound Obama Love (VIDEO)

WATCH: Colbert Mocks Romney's 'Storm Relief' Event

After a two-day hiatus while Hurricane Sandy did her worst in New York City, Stephen Colbert returned to the "Report" Wednesday night to discuss what really matters: the storm's effect on the 2012 election.

Actually, Colbert started off his show by appreciating the relief efforts and encouraging everyone to donate (you can watch that clip below) but his funniest segment had to do superstorm Sandy mixing things up one week before election day. First, Colbert went after Romney for suspending his campaign, then holding a storm relief event in Ohio that just happened to be in the same place where he was going to have a campaign rally (he also just happened to bring a video from the RNC).

In addition to that, Sandy might have affected the election simply by bringing New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and President Obama together. According to Colbert, "Obama stole Romney's date to disaster prom!"

Watch the clip above to hear Colbert's take on Romney's totally apolitical event as well as Chris Christie's newfound love for President Obama.
