Gasoline Spill In North Bay Village Sends 225 Gallons Into Biscayne Bay: Reports

Gasoline Spill In Water Off North Bay Village

Approximately 225 gallons of gasoline spilled into the waters off North Bay Village Sunday morning when a dock collapse broke two fuel lines, NBC6 reports.

A U.S. Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin helicopter reported the spill is approximately 500 yards in length near the east end of the island, according to the Miami Herald, where Greenview Fuel Lines dock collapsed around 7:30 a.m.

North Bay Village straddles the 79th Street Causeway between Miami and Miami Beach, just west of Normandy Isles. No waterways have been closed, but boaters are asked to take caution.

This is a developing story.
