Forget "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob," Taylor Lautner is firmly "Team Kristen."
The 20-year-old "Twilight" star recently sat down with Cosmopolitan and when the subject of cheating arose, he revealed he doesn't have too much personal experience to draw from.
"To be honest, I’ve never been involved in any of those situations, so I don’t know [if trust can be regained]. It would be just a guess and a shot in the dark, and I don’t want to give that if I haven’t even been there myself," he told the magazine.
It was a diplomatic answer, even if Lautner wasn't commenting directly on Kristen Stewart's cheating scandal. Asked about the 22-year-old actress, he only had good things to say about his co-star.
"Kristen is fantastic at everything she does. I’m always proud of her," he told Cosmopolitan
And Lautner is far from the only "Breaking Dawn: Part 2" cast member to support Stewart after she cheated on Robert Pattinson with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director, Rupert Sanders.
"Honestly, I used to cheat so much it would be very hypocritical of me to pass judgment on Kristen," Charlie Bewley, who plays a vampire, told Us Weekly when asked about the scandal. "I know what it's like to have an inflated libido. Probably why I'm not in a relationship right now."
Fellow on-screen vampire Daniel Cudmore agreed. "I mean, sh*t -- 22 years old. Think of how many mistakes you made at 22 years old," he told the publication. "The problem is we're in the spotlight, but, whatever. It's a relationship, and people go through ups and downs and they have their problems."
The cast members clearly have one another's backs, which is why it's no surprise that Lautner revealed he's bummed the story has come to a close.
“I’m extremely said that it’s ending. It’s been such an amazing part of my life. But on the other hand, I’m looking forward to that next chapter and contenting to challenge myself and do different things," he told Cosmopolitan.
