Community Mourns 7-Year-Old Murdered In Naperville Stabbing

Family and friends are saying their final goodbyes to Justin Plackowska, the young Naperville boy who was found stabbed to death last week, allegedly at the hands of his own mother.

Justin's wake, held Monday night at St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Naperville, drew hundreds of visitors, reports the Sun-Times. Among those who came to pay respects, school teachers and classmates. ABC Chicago said the event attracted "a steady stream of mourners."

The Tuesday funeral for the 7-year-old was held at the same location, according to CBS News.

Horrifying details of the case continued to emerge last week. The Associated Press reported Justin’s mother, Elzbieta Plackowska, told investigators she had the children kneel on the floor and pray before she stabbed both dozens of times as they begged for their lives.

Plackowska, is currently in custody and has been ordered held without bail. Plackowska is charged with the murders of her son and 5-year-old Olivia Dworakowski, whom Plackowska was baby sitting on the night of the stabbings, Oct. 30.
