Obama Wins Reelection: World Media Reactions

World Media Reactions To Obama's Win

As America woke up to four more years of Barack Obama, international reactions to the Democratic victory poured in.

In Australia, where the clocks had already turned to Wednesday when Obama's win became apparent, the Sydney Morning Herald sighed with relief: "Breathe a sigh of relief, Australia - had Mitt Romney won the day, it would have made for an ugly time with our big alliance partner.

But there was markedly less optimism in the British press. "His victory wasn't big. It wasn't pretty. It certainly wasn't inspirational in the way that his win in 2008 was. But it was a win all the same," the editors of Guardian wrote.

How did the rest of the world react to Obama's win? Find out in the slideshow below.
