Mary Hart Style Evolution: Former 'Entertainment Tonight' Host Still Loves Sensible Pumps (PHOTOS)

Mary Hart Palled Around With Warhol, Still Loves Sensible Pumps

Clearly a fan of consistency, on-air personality Mary Hart established her signature look early on: Big hair, sheer stockings and sensible pumps. A TV veteran, the South Dakota native started her career in local broadcast news in 1976, before earning a small part on "Day Of Our Lives." In 1981, she landed a correspondent gig on "Entertainment Tonight," the nightly tabloid show; she was promoted to host the following year.

While Hart soon became a recognizable face in homes across America, her legs also garnered attention. Named a spokeswoman for Hane's pantyhose, her limbs were also insured for $1 million each. Hart continued with the show for the next 28 years, which earned her the Guinness World Record of the "longest serving entertainment news host."

As Hart turns 62 on Thursday (November 8th), we're taking a look back at her many red carpet outfits (and famous friends).
