Johnny "Football" Manziel can do a lot on the football field. Just ask Alabama. But it turns out that kicking is not included.
Texas A&M used Manziel as its third kicker of the game after he threw an 89-yard touchdown pass to Uzoma Nwachukwu to put the Aggies up 40-0 against Sam Houston State. On the extra point attempt, Manziel kicked it wide right and trotted off the field with a smile on his face.
So why did head coach Kevin Sumlin give Johnny Football a shot with his leg?
"It's a long season, and we've gone 11 straight weeks without a bye," Sumlin said, per the Houston Chronicle. "You try different things to keep the energy level up and keep it fun. He made one on Thursday. I thought we'd give it a shot."
Manziel finished with 267 passing yards and three touchdown passes in Texas A&M's 47-28 win.
But would he be one step closer to the Heisman Trophy if he had made that extra point?
