Grand Canyon Prank: Teen On Vacation Terrifies Mother With Photo Prank (LOOK)

How This Teen On Vacation Pranked Her Mom (PHOTOS)

If there's one thing mothers are pretty much universally good at, it's worrying. Recently, one young Redditor played a prank on her protective mother that made its way around the Internet.

On a recent trip to the Grand Canyon, instead of reassuring her mom that she was safe, Reddit user AlphaF decided to have a little fun. She posted a photo of herself holding onto the edge of a cliff, along with the caption, "Mom was worried about my trip to the Grand Canyon, I sent her this picture." In reality, the girl was standing on a ledge beneath her or had climbed into a safe position. But the cleverly-staged -- and hilarious -- photo, which made its way to the front page of Reddit last weekend, looks shocking enough to fool many viewers.

But not everyone was amused. One commenter said: "My sister-in-law went to the Grand Canyon and when she saw that there were no guardrails became so worried and nervous for everyone (EVERYONE) visiting that she had to leave."

Another noted, "Grand Canyon can actually be a seriously dangerous place."
