It has been an eventful couple of months for Katt Williams. After being released by Oakland authorities following a club fight on October 14, the controversial comedian took to the stage Friday night for what turned out to be a rather bizarre performance, which also included rapper Too $hort, at the Oracle Arena.
According to a profanity-filled video clip that surfaced online, the "Friday After Next" star went on a tangent during the show trying to provoke a fight with an audience member, which ultimately resulted in security escorting Williams off stage.
"It was the weirdest thing I've ever seen in my life," said Erick Lucero, who was working on the arena floor as a security guard. "The whole show went really well (before Williams' main set). ... It was a packed house, and everyone was really satisfied with the show" up to that point.
Williams has had trouble communicating with hecklers in the past. In August 2011, during a comedy show in Phoenix, the 39-year-old launched a tirade against Mexicans living in the United States. He has since released an apology for his remarks.
