'The Big Bang Theory' Adds 'Southland' Star

"The Big Bang Theory" has booked "Southland" star Regina King for a guest appearance.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, King will play Mrs. Davis, the director of human resources at the university where Sheldon works. Look for Mrs. Davis to meet with Sheldon after an incident with his assistant, Alex, played by Margo Harshman.

King's episode will air in January.

In other casting news ...

"Heroes" star Sendil Ramamurthy is heading to "Hot In Cleveland."
Remamurthy will play a pediatrician on the TV Land comedy. [TVLine]

Olympian David Boudia will judge ABC's "Celebrity Splash."
Greg Louganis will also judge the competition. [THR]

Val Chmerkovskiy is heading to "General Hospital."
Chmerkovskiy will play a boxer. [EW]
