Cryptic Facebook Status Update Adds To Puzzle Of Missing Teen (UPDATED)

Police in Pennsylvania say a missing teen's cryptic Facebook status update has caused heightened concern for her safety.

UPDATE: A spokeswoman for Pittsburgh police told The Huffington Post that Diamond Wall has been found safe. The teen, according to police, walked into a East Liberty school on her own today. She was unharmed. A fight with her mother had allegedly caused her to run away. No further details are available at this time.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The message on 16-year-old Diamond Wall's Facebook page is just three letters long. However, police say it speaks volumes to the dire need to locate the missing girl.

The message-- "R.I.P." –- the common abbreviation for "rest in peace," was posted as Wall's status update on Sunday. It remains unclear if Wall herself posted the message.

Police say Wall, a resident of Pittsburgh, was last seen at about 10 a.m. Saturday, in the East Hills region. Her current whereabouts remain a mystery and she has not been seen since.

A spokesperson for Pittsburgh police told HuffPost that investigators "concern is heightened" because of the Facebook message.

No further details about the case were available Monday morning.

Wall is described as an African American female, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 150 pounds, with black shoulder-length hair, brown eyes and a dark complexion. She was last seen wearing a pink hoodie.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Detective Artie Patterson at 412-323-7141.
