It's a big day for Nicki Minaj--the colorful rapper turns the big 3-0!

The past year has been an exciting one for the New York City native, she released her highly anticipated sophomore album, landed a judging gig on "American Idol," launched a signature fragrance and thoroughly entertained us with her flamboyant fashion choices.

When you consider Nicki's go-to attire consists of stuffed animal-adorned dresses and chicken wing necklaces, there's never a dull moment when she steps out in public.

But believe it or not, Nicki is capable of toning it down. That's right, the "Roman Reloaded" rapper has proven that she can put the costumes aside and rock a LBD or jeans and t-shirt like the rest of us. The moments are (very) few and (very) far between, but they have happened.
