Former addict, Justin Hewitt joined HuffPost Live Thursday to discuss his past addictions with host Janet Varney.
"What, at first, was a running joke in the office became a kind of tragedy, " Hewitt said. "I had my employer step in and the first step was, I was sent to a detox facility and then I was sent to a 30-day facility. I came back, I continued to have a problems and I was eventually let go."
Hewitt said that this experience taught him that his behaviors were unacceptable, and he eventually turned his life around, going into recovery and now helping addicts himself.
