'Jersey Shore' Star Angelina Pivarnick Teams With Gay Pop Artist Adam Barta For New Single

'Jersey Shore' Star Changes Her Mind: 'Gay People Should Be Married'

It looks like "Jersey Shore" castmember Angelina Pivarnick and pop artist Adam Barta have kissed and made up after a well-publicized spat earlier this year.

Pivarnick, who once referred to herself as the "Kim Kardashian of Staten Island," has just teamed up for Barta for an infectious dance-pop single, "Serendipity," featuring The Majik Boys.

"This is my chance to show the real Angelina," Pivarnick said of the song in a statement. "I'm excited about it for my gay fans."

Fans may recall that Pivarnick, who starred in the first two seasons of the hit MTV reality series, engaged in a controversial, expletive-ridden exchange on the topic of same-sex marriage with Barta, who is openly gay, earlier this year. Though she later apologized for those remarks, the star hopes the new song will help put the incident behind her once and for all.

"I’m upset about the way I was portrayed," she said. "This song is really how I truly am...What you see in the media is not the real me. Gay people should be married. I should be allowed to change my mind on this."

Added Barta: "She can be dramatic, but who isn't at times? Underneath is a loving person. She's turned around her stance on gay marriage, and for that I am very proud of her."
