PHOTOS: Hilarious Men's Fashions From 100 Years Ago

Tom Phillips is a British writer and artist perhaps best known for A Humament, a radical (and beautiful) reworking of a Victorian novel. However, he also collects bizarre Victorian and early 20th-century postcards, more than 50,000 of which have been acquired by the Bodleian Library in Oxford. To celebrate that fact, the library has put out a book of 200 portraits under the title of Menswear (The Bodleian Library, $25), a selection of which can be seen below.
