Michael Morrison is reportedly slated to become the new executive producer of Katie Couric's daytime show.

The New York Post reported Wednesday that sources said Morrison, former executive producer of "The Martha Stewart Show," is "closing a deal" with Couric. If he is named, he will take the reins from Jeff Zucker, who is leaving to head CNN in January.

Disney-ABC began meeting with potential replacements for Zucker in October, according to Deadline Hollywood. The search went into high gear when Zucker's new role at CNN was announced in November.
