Penguin To Promote Beth Revis' Trilogy With A Book Launch...into Space! -- EXCLUSIVE | Shelf Life | EW.com

Penguin Offers To Send Book Into Space
The waxing crescent moon is seen in the night sky above the San Gabriel Valley, east of downtown Los Angeles on March 26, 2012, in California. Sometimes called a young moon, a waxing crescent moon is always seen in the west after sunset, and unlike a lunar eclipse which is the only time the Earth's shadow can fall on the moon, the shadow on a waxing crescent moon is the moon's own shadow. Houston, we have a cool book promotion. Beth Revis’ Across the Universe series comes to a close Jan. 15 with Shades of Earth. To celebrate the third and final book in the series, Revis has partnered with Penguin for a literal book launch. If fans pre-order more copies of Shades of Earth than they did for books one and two combined, they will launch a copy of Across the Universe into space. (Picture something similar to this.) Watch Revis explain the promotional campaign after the jump.
