I think it's safe to say that many women have a celebrity style icon that they look to when they are getting dressed in the morning, planning a special occasion ensemble, or whose fashion sense they just simply adore. But these celebs have unlimited budgets, access to teams of stylists and can get red-carpet ready at the drop of a hat -- in other words, their lives are quite different from ours. Although people like Sarah Jessica Parker and Diane Kruger act as great inspiration, there are often people around us who we look to when we are craving some sartorial eye-candy.
At HuffPost Style we are constantly scrolling through street style blogs and Getty Images, but we have to say that some of our best muses are our friends. Whether it's a colleague, an old friend or a sister, the people that really impress us are the ones who do it all without a stylist.
