LA DUI-Deaths Brought To A Standstill During 10-Day Crackdown On Intoxicated Drivers

DUI Crackdown Works!

There were no DUI-related deaths during a recent 10-day period that was part of a holiday crackdown on intoxicated drivers, authorities said this week.

The crackdown in Ventura County led to 52 arrests of motorists on suspicion of driving under the influence during the 10-day period starting at midnight Dec. 14.

The public may report drivers they suspect are drunk by calling 911.

Funding for the crackdown came from a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety. ___
