David Gregory Petition Over Gun Magazine Passes Halfway Point

David Gregory Won't Like This

The petition to arrest David Gregory has reached more than half the signatures necessary before the White House must comment on the situation.

Gregory created a stir last Sunday when he potentially violated the law by waving a 30-bullet gun magazine on "Meet the Press." The D.C. police has said that they are investigating the incident.

Now, more than 15,000 people are calling for Gregory's arrest. A petition on the White House website had 15,069 signatures as of Monday morning. It reads: "David Gregory is not above the law; he is a journalist, and must be held accountable to the same law as every other person."

It is still almost 10,000 signatures away from the 25,000 needed before the White House is required to respond.
