Like the rest of us, many athletes spent the first week of 2013 watching a lot of football. Also like the rest of us, LeBron James was astounded by Jadeveon Clowney's devastating hit in the Outback Bowl.

As per usual, the topics of these athlete tweets ranged from the ridiculous to the mundane. We've collected thoughts on the fiscal cliff as well as the types of people one meets at Whole Foods. Perhaps with a bit of extra free time around the holidays, it seemed like many athletes spent some time watching movies instead of being watched themselves. Apparently, "This Is 40" is a bit long.

In perhaps the most unexpected Athletes on Twitter development of the week, a high-profile holdout sent out a tweet that attracted a bit of attention.

We've once again scoured our timeline from the past week to bring you what we believe to be the best of the best that athletes have to offer via Twitter. Vote on which athlete you believe had this week's best tweet. The winner will be given remarkable Interweb cred and 140 characters worth of salutations via the @HuffPostSports Twitter account.
