Gabrielle Gary Makes 3-Pointer While Trying To Save Loose Ball In High School Game (VIDEO)

WATCH: High Schooler Sinks Incredible 3-Point Shot

It's entirely possible that the best high school basketball shot of 2013 has already passed us by when sophomore guard Gabrielle Gary sunk a 3-pointer that didn't look like it was an intentional shot attempt.

The McCutcheon Mavericks went head-to-head against rival school Lafayette Jeff on Wednesday in Indiana when Gary made an unexpected three-point shot that left many in awe, including the game's play-by-play announcers. As Gary attempted to save a loose ball, the sophomore launched the ball back inbounds, over her head and towards the basket before watching it find the rim and sink through the hoop.

"Oh man! We may be sending that in for an ESPY," one announcer shrieked. "That was huge!"

According to the Journal and Courier, the improbable hook shot was one of four 3-pointers that Gary made within the first eight minutes as the Mavericks cruised to a 56-36 victory. Gary scored a career-high 24 points.
